About Wai Nani

Wai Nani Surf Paddle & Pedal was created out of the passion, enjoyment and escape that one can experience when wandering the waters or trails of Lake Minnetonka. 

We consistently strive to bring new and exciting water adventures to the Lake Minnetonka area.

Lake Minnetonka is a Mdewakantonwan Dakota word which means “Big Water”; the name Wai Nani pays tribute to paddleboarding’s Polynesian origin. Wai Nani, pronounced why-na-nee, means “beautiful water” in Hawaiian. Our vision is to bring like-minded people together to experience the of wandering the beautiful big water.

In the spring of 2019, long-time Wayzata residents the Mullin’s purchased Wai Nani in part to showcase the best our hometown of Wayzata has to offer. We operate Wai Nani as a family business. This is our 15th Season and we hope to continue providing exemplary paddle and pedal experiences on Lake Minnetonka for years to come.
